An ETX board could be the answer to your project design!

If you are looking for a compact solution (like an ETX board) - you have 3 options:

• Use an off-the-shelf embedded board. This has the advantage of very little work needed to produce a final product. The down side is that it could be only a few months before a major component on the board becomes obsolete and you end up looking for a new solution (for which you need to re-write your application!).
• A complete custom board design. You have full control of the product, but you are still reliant on the major chipset manufacturers. The design; development time and costs will also be significant.
