So, now that you have chosen an evaluation board (so you can get on with your software development while your custom carrier board is being designed) - it's time to find an ETX board that has all of the functionality that you need for your application.
COMExpress modules are the latest iteration of the ETX standard. The dimensions differ to the standard ETX modules (95mm x 114mm) - as they come in these formats : 110mm x 155mm (extended); 95mm x 125mm (basic) and 95mm x 95mm (compact).
Advantages include : extra PCI Express support lanes; gigabit ethernet support; 4 more usb connections (8 in total) and digital sound outputs. We have two COMExpress module listed below.
